[erudite] fifty simlish book covers as posters

(Philip K. Dick's Ubik, John Fowles' The Collector, Toni Morrison's Beloved, Henry Miller's Sexus II, and Francoise Sagan's Bonjour Tristesse.)

I'm totally spamming this week-end, but I'm really excited about these, so I thought I'd just post them instead of waiting.

Anyway, I love having simlish in my game, so I thought I'd remake some vintage-y book covers with simlish instead of English (or, in one case, French). It got kind of out of hand, and I ended up with fifty recolors, all for the BV "Travelkeeper" poster.

(Raymond Chandler's The Big Sleep, Vladimir Nabokov's Pale Fire and John Updike's Rabbit, Run.)

(Albert Camus' Exile and the Kingdom, The Plague, and The Stranger.)

Enjoy! And, someone please stop me from making even more of these.

How did I miss this when you posted it?! :D I love these! Thank you so much! They'll certainly be getting plenty of use in my game.

Have you considered applying these textures to some of the bookshelf and clutter book stacks? I'd love to have them in my sim's homes as books, too.
picnic comma lightningcharterzard on November 27th, 2010 05:16 am (UTC)
I am planning on doing some actual book recolors, but first I have figure out how to retexture custom meshes. It's on my list, though.
